This Saturday, those who still believe in a Free America, and some who don’t, will again take to the streets in another “No Kings” showing.
The list of grievances against the White House only grows deeper with every “No Kings” event. Take your pick: ICE, IRAN, Free Speech, Gas, Housing, groceries, healthcare, Gaza, DOGE cuts, weaponizing the Justice Department, attacking the LGBT+ community, forcing racism into the mainstream, the deaths of innocent U.S. citizens, interfering with fair elections, or erasing people of color. And let’s give a shout-out to all the other offenses people have forgotten because of a new outrage tweeted out from the White House accounts.
In Rhode Island, the anti-Trump protest will be the largest in Providence. Organizers believe March 28th’s rally might be the largest one to date, with tens of thousands expected to gather at the Rhode Island State House, according to estimates in a statement to the press.
The rally will feature literal movement propelled by the frustrations and outrage vocalized on chants and signs.
And yes, there will be signs, from the clever and funny, to the poignant and sobering. Those have been a constant in these demonstrations.
What to know:
- The rally is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Rhode Island State House, on the mall side.
- Good luck with street parking, but the mall is close by, and relatively cheap. However, one shouldn’t expect to be the only one who thought of it.
