NAACP Providence is holding a Gubernatorial forum

Early voting for the Rhode Island September 13 primary election kicked off Wednesday.

That same night the NAACP Providence Branch is holding a Gubernatorial forum highlighting issues in the Black community.

It’s co-hosted by numerous civil rights organizations that hope to press the candidates on their vision for Rhode Island and how it considers the needs of communities of color.

It’s being held at the John Hope Settlement House on 7 Thomas P Whitten Way in Providence.

The start time is 7:00 p.m.

We’ll provide an update.
