One of the first images we featured as a header image on the website was a colorful mural in Pawtucket.
It’s appropriately titled Esperanza by Colombian artist Gabriel Calle Arango. The vibrant mural is a nod to Rhode Island history, and includes a depiction of Fanny the elephant.
It was unveiled on November 13, at Slater Park.
State Senator Sandra Cano reached out to the artist and convinced to paint the mural.
