Rhode Island Congressman Gabe Amo calls Trump ‘dangerous’ after President’s unhinged threat to Iran

Rhode Island Congressman Gabe Amo called out President Donald Trump as “dangerous” on Tuesday after Trump threatened to wipe out the Iranians.

“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” Trump wrote on social media, hours before another self-created deadline in the war with Iran. “ I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will.”

“Trump’s words show that he’s beyond unfit to be President,” countered Amo in a social media post of his own. “He is dangerous and a risk to us all.”

He urged Republicans to speak out against a blatant call for genocide.

That threat added to his earlier threats of attacking civilian infrastructure, which many point out are war crimes under the Geneva Conventions.

“Your silence and complicity hurts us all,” Amo wrote.

The Rhode Island Congressman also urged the Speaker of the House to bring back Congress, and hold a vote on war powers.

Like many of Trump’s other deadlines, he called this one off by announcing a ceasefire hours before he claimed he would wipe out a civilization.

This one is for two weeks.
